A HELPING JOURNEY SINCE 2016
Since 2016, THE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM has evolved from a modest career initiative into a transformative force, empowering Malaysian youth and underserved communities through hospitality and tourism training. Here’s a timeline of our progress:
2016 – Commenced as the Career Work Skills Program - Launched to provide industry-specific training for aspiring hospitality professionals. Our first partnership with SEGI Fresh Hypermarket offered hands-on retail and hospitality experience, setting the stage for future growth.
2017–2018 – Rebranded as the Malaysia Attachment Program - Expanding our reach, we partnered with key industry players, diversifying opportunities for participants. Highlights included collaborations with:
Sushi Kin
Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC)
Yayasan Atlet Kebangsaan Malaysia
Malaysian Association of the Blind
Malaysian Association of Wellness & Spa (MAWSPA)
Participants gained exposure across hospitality, wellness, events, and retail sectors.
2019 – January 2022 – Malaysian Industrial Attachment Program - In partnership with ASIANA and DHS Hospitality Academy, the program shifted toward structured internships and industry attachments, broadening access to real-world hospitality and tourism experience.
2022 – Rebirth as the Hospitality Cradle Program - After concluding the ASIANA collaboration, we rebranded with a sharper focus on holistic youth and community development. The program integrated entrepreneurship alongside traditional career pathways, fostering self-sufficiency and innovation.
2023 – Hospitality Community Career Entrepreneurship Program - This two-track initiative prioritized:
Youth Development – Skills training, career guidance, and pathways to employment or entrepreneurship.
Community Development – Uplifting underprivileged groups through hospitality training and job placements, driving social mobility.
2024 – Hospitality Unity Career Program - Our latest phase unites professionals, trainees, and industry partners to build a stronger, more inclusive hospitality sector. Emphasizing collaboration, diversity, and sustainability, we aim to shape Malaysia’s hospitality future—one opportunity at a time.
Through each evolution, our mission remains: Empowering lives, building careers, and strengthening communities through hospitality.
